Method
- Preheat your oven to its lowest setting, typically around 170°F (75°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a blender, combine the fruit puree, lemon juice, and honey or maple syrup (if using). Blend until smooth.
- Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it evenly into a thin layer, about 1/8 inch thick.
- Bake for 2 to 3 hours, or until the fruit mixture is no longer sticky to the touch and peels away easily from the parchment paper. The exact time will depend on your oven and the thickness of the layer.
- Once cooled, carefully peel the fruit leather from the parchment paper. Cut it into strips using a knife or pizza cutter.
- Roll up each strip to create your fruit roll-ups. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
Notes
You can use any fruit puree you like. Berries, peaches, and apricots work well. For a tangier flavor, increase the lemon juice. If you don't have a blender, you can mash the fruit thoroughly.
