Course: Appetizer
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

For the Appetizer
  • 12 slices Bacon cooked until crisp and crumbled
  • 4 oz Goat cheese softened
  • 1 clove Garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp Fresh chives chopped
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper freshly ground

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Small bowl
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the softened goat cheese, minced garlic, chopped chives, and black pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly incorporated.
  3. Form the goat cheese mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. You should get about 12 balls.
  4. Roll each goat cheese ball in the crumbled bacon, pressing gently to help the bacon adhere.
  5. Place the bacon-wrapped goat cheese balls on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the goat cheese is slightly softened and warmed through. Do not overbake.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

You can prepare the goat cheese mixture and cook the bacon ahead of time. Assemble and bake just before serving for the best texture.
