Ingredients

For the Brie
  • 1 wheel Brie cheese about 8 ounces
For the Pastry
  • 1 sheet Puff pastry thawed
  • 1 Egg beaten, for egg wash

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Knife
  • Pastry brush

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unfold the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Place the wheel of brie in the center.
  3. Bring the edges of the puff pastry up and over the brie, sealing them together at the top. Trim any excess pastry if needed.
  4. Carefully place the pastry-wrapped brie seam-side down onto the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Brush the entire surface of the puff pastry with the beaten egg wash.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and puffed.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve warm with crackers or bread.

Notes

You can add a drizzle of honey or jam on top of the brie before wrapping for extra flavor. Serve immediately for the best texture.
