Ingredients

For the Brie
  • 1 wheel Brie cheese about 8 ounces
For the Pastry
  • 1 sheet Puff pastry thawed
  • 1 Egg beaten, for egg wash

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Knife
  • Pastry brush

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unfold the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Place the wheel of brie in the center.
  3. Wrap the puff pastry around the brie, trimming any excess dough. Pinch the seams to seal.
  4. Place the wrapped brie, seam-side down, on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Brush the top and sides of the puff pastry with the beaten egg wash.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve warm with crackers or bread.

Notes

You can add toppings like jam, nuts, or herbs on top of the brie before wrapping it in pastry for extra flavor.
