Method
- Remove the cream cheese and butter from the refrigerator to allow them to soften to room temperature.
- In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the softened cream cheese and butter together until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Gradually add the sifted powdered sugar to the cream cheese mixture, mixing on low speed until combined, then increase speed to medium and beat until smooth.
- Mix in the vanilla extract.
- Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping using a spatula until no streaks remain. Do not overmix.
- Take about half of the Christmas Tree Cakes and chop them into small pieces. Fold these pieces into the dip mixture.
- Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. Cover the bowl and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to set.
- Before serving, top the dip with the remaining chopped cake pieces, green sprinkles, and red sprinkles.
- Serve the dip with graham crackers, vanilla wafers, or fruit for dipping.

Notes
If you prefer a smoother dip without cake pieces mixed in, you can skip folding in the chopped cakes and simply use all the cake pieces for topping.
