Brie and Cranberry Bites

These brie and cranberry bites are a simple and delicious appetizer perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients
  

For the Bites
  • 1 sheet Puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz Brie cheese, rind removed and cut into 12 pieces
For the Cranberry Topping
  • 1/2 cup Cranberry sauce
  • 1 tbsp Orange juice
  • 1 tsp Orange zest

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Small saucepan
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the puff pastry sheet and cut it into 12 equal squares.
  3. Place one piece of brie cheese in the center of each puff pastry square.
  4. Bring the corners of the puff pastry up and pinch them together to enclose the brie. You should have a small pouch.
  5. Place the bites on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and puffed.
  7. While the bites are baking, combine the cranberry sauce, orange juice, and orange zest in a small saucepan. Heat gently over low heat until warmed through.
  8. Remove the bites from the oven. Spoon a small amount of the cranberry topping onto each bite.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

You can add a sprig of rosemary or thyme for garnish if desired.
