Cajun Shrimp Tacos With Slaw

These Cajun shrimp tacos are quick to make and packed with flavor. The creamy slaw adds a refreshing crunch.

Ingredients
  

For the Shrimp
  • 1 lb Shrimp Peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning Or to taste
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
For the Slaw
  • 2 cups Shredded cabbage Or coleslaw mix
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Lime juice
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Black pepper
For Serving
  • 8 Corn or flour tortillas Warmed
  • Lime wedges Optional
  • Cilantro Chopped, optional

  • Mixing bowl

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, toss the shrimp with Cajun seasoning and olive oil. Set aside.
  2. In another mixing bowl, combine shredded cabbage, mayonnaise, lime juice, sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine. Set aside.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and cooked through.
  4. Assemble the tacos by filling the warmed tortillas with the cooked shrimp and topping with the prepared slaw. Garnish with lime wedges and cilantro, if desired.

Notes

You can adjust the amount of Cajun seasoning to your spice preference. For a spicier slaw, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
