Ingredients

For the Dutch Baby
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
For the Topping
  • 4 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Equipment

  • 10-inch oven-safe skillet
  • Blender

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Place a 10-inch oven-safe skillet in the oven while it preheats.
  2. In a blender, combine the eggs, flour, milk, salt, and melted butter. Blend until smooth.
  3. Carefully remove the hot skillet from the oven. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter to the skillet and swirl to coat the bottom and sides.
  4. Pour the batter into the hot skillet. Sprinkle the crumbled bacon and shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the batter.
  5. Return the skillet to the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the Dutch baby is puffed up and golden brown.
  6. Serve immediately.

Notes

You can add other toppings like chives or a dollop of sour cream if desired.
