Cinnamon Twists

Easy cinnamon twists made from puff pastry. A quick and delicious treat.

Ingredients
  

For the Twists
  • 1 sheet Puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons Butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Ground cinnamon

  • Pastry brush

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  3. Unfold the puff pastry sheet onto a lightly floured surface. Brush the entire surface with melted butter.
  4. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the buttered pastry.
  5. Fold the pastry sheet in half lengthwise, pressing gently to seal.
  6. Cut the folded pastry into 12 strips, about 1/2 inch wide.
  7. Gently twist each strip several times and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

You can add a simple glaze of powdered sugar and milk if desired.
