- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in the chicken broth, milk, and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in the soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Add the ramen noodles to the simmering broth. Cook according to package directions, usually 3-5 minutes, until tender.
- Divide the ramen and broth between two bowls. Top with cooked chicken, hard-boiled eggs, scallions, and nori strips, if desired.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, you can simmer the broth for a few extra minutes before adding the noodles, or mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cold water and stir it into the simmering broth until thickened.
