- Heat oil in a large pot or dutch oven over medium low heat.
- Add garlic and saute for 1 to 2 minutes or until fragrant. Do not burn the garlic.
- Add butter and continue stirring until it melts.
- Add chicken stock and raise heat to medium high. Bring the stock to a boil.
- Once the broth boils, add the noodles. You can add them whole or break them in half first.
- Cook the pasta for the time directed on the package.
- The pasta will absorb almost all of the broth.
- When the pasta is cooked through, remove the pot from the heat.
- Add Parmesan cheese and stir until the cheese is melted and the noodles are coated.
- Add the heavy cream and mix well. Add salt and pepper to your taste.
- Serve immediately. Top with more cheese.
