Method
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the puff pastry sheet onto a lightly floured surface. Cut it into 8 equal rectangles.
- In a small bowl, mix the chopped ham and shredded cheese.
- Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the ham and cheese mixture onto one half of each pastry rectangle, leaving a small border.
- Fold the other half of the pastry over the filling to create a pocket. Press the edges with a fork to seal.
- Place the pastries on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
You can add a pinch of black pepper to the ham and cheese mixture for extra flavor.
