Method
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground Italian sausage until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
- Add the chopped onion and bell pepper to the skillet with the sausage. Cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.
- Spread the cooked sausage and vegetable mixture evenly in the bottom of a baking dish.
- Pour the pizza sauce over the sausage mixture.
- Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and sliced pepperoni.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
You can add other pizza toppings like mushrooms, olives, or other cheeses. For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes.
