Method
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
- In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter or olive oil, minced garlic, brown sugar, Italian seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Place the salmon fillet skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Spoon the butter and herb mixture evenly over the top of the salmon fillet.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time depends on the thickness of the fillet.
- Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
Notes
If you prefer a stronger lemon flavor, you can add the juice of half a lemon to the butter mixture before brushing it onto the salmon.
