Ingredients

For the Meatballs
  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 recommended
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
For the Garlic Butter Sauce
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp parsley chopped, for garnish

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Skillet

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  3. Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and browned.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the sauce. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  6. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes to slightly thicken.
  7. Add the baked meatballs to the skillet with the garlic butter sauce. Toss to coat the meatballs evenly.
  8. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Serve these meatballs with toothpicks for an easy appetizer, or over pasta or rice for a complete meal.
