  • 1.5 tsp salt
  • 1.25 cups warm water about 105-115F
  • 1/4 cup olive oil plus more for greasing
For the Topping
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced

  • 1 tsp dried rosemary optional
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • Measuring spoons

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Add the warm water and 1/4 cup olive oil. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Lightly grease the bowl with olive oil. Place the dough in the bowl, turning to coat. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 400F (200C).
  6. Grease a baking sheet with olive oil. Punch down the dough and spread it evenly onto the prepared baking sheet.
  7. In a small bowl, whisk together the 1/4 cup olive oil, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, rosemary (if using), salt, and pepper.
  8. Drizzle the garlic Parmesan mixture over the dough. Use your fingers to dimple the dough and distribute the topping.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  10. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

You can add fresh herbs like parsley or chives to the topping for extra flavor.
