Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients
  • 3 ripe bananas mashed
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup milk any kind
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners or grease it.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas. Add the applesauce, milk, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
  3. In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full.
  6. Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
  7. Let the muffins cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

You can add optional ingredients like chopped nuts or chocolate chips to the batter before baking.
