Homemade Christmas Chai Latte

Method
 

  1. Combine water, tea bags, ginger, star anise, cloves, cinnamon stick, and black peppercorns in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat, stir in brown sugar until dissolved. Let steep for 2 more minutes.
  4. Strain the chai concentrate into a mug.
  5. Heat milk in a separate saucepan or microwave until warm. Froth if desired.
  6. Pour warm milk over the chai concentrate and stir gently.

Notes

Adjust sugar and spices to your preference. You can use dairy or non-dairy milk.
