Honey Garlic Shrimp Bowls

Ingredients
  

For the Shrimp
  • 1 lb Shrimp Peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
For the Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 tsp Cornstarch Mixed with 1 tbsp water
For Serving
  • 4 cups Cooked rice
  • 2 cups Steamed broccoli florets
  • 1 Sesame seeds For garnish
  • 2 Green onions Chopped, for garnish

Method
 

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and the cornstarch slurry. Set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
  3. Add the butter to the same skillet. Once melted, pour in the honey garlic sauce mixture. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook for another minute until heated through.
  5. To serve, divide the cooked rice among four bowls. Top with steamed broccoli and the honey garlic shrimp. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

Notes

You can customize your bowls with other vegetables like bell peppers, snap peas, or carrots. Adjust the amount of honey to your preference for sweetness.
