Iced Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso

This recipe shows you how to make an iced brown sugar shaken espresso similar to the Starbucks version.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup ice plus more for serving
  • 2-3 oz espresso fresh; substitute prepared instant espresso, strong coffee, or cold brew
  • 4 tablespoon Brown Sugar Syrup or vanilla simple syrup
  • 1/2-2/3 cup milk of your choice use oat milk for the Starbucks version; froth if desired
  • 1 cinnamon for sprinkling

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Serving glass
  • Milk frother (optional)

Method
 

  1. Add ice, espresso, and brown sugar syrup to a cocktail shaker.
  2. Cover and shake vigorously for 15 to 20 seconds.
  3. Fill a serving glass with ice and pour the contents of the shaker into the glass.
  4. Add milk to top.
  5. Sprinkle with cinnamon and stir to combine. Drink immediately.

Notes
