- Combine milk and lavender buds in a saucepan.
- Heat gently over medium-low heat until warm, but do not boil. Stir occasionally.
- Remove from heat and let steep for 3-5 minutes.
- Strain the milk through a fine-mesh sieve into a mug, discarding the lavender buds.
- Stir in honey or maple syrup, if desired.
- Drink warm before bedtime.
