Lavender Sleep Milk

A calming and soothing drink to help you relax before sleep.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Milk dairy or non-dairy
  • 1 teaspoon Culinary lavender buds
  • 1 teaspoon Honey or maple syrup optional, to taste

  • Saucepan
  • Whisk
  • Strainer
  • Mug

Method
 

  1. Combine milk and lavender buds in a saucepan.
  2. Heat gently over medium-low heat until warm, but do not boil. Stir occasionally.
  3. Remove from heat and let steep for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Strain the milk through a fine-mesh sieve into a mug, discarding the lavender buds.
  5. Stir in honey or maple syrup, if desired.
  6. Drink warm before bedtime.

Notes

Ensure you use culinary-grade lavender. Adjust sweetness to your preference.
