Course: Dessert, Snack
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

Dip Base
  • 8 ounces Cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup Butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Whipped topping, thawed Cool Whip or similar
Cake Pieces
  • 1 package Little Debbie snack cakes (e.g., Zebra Cakes or Honey Buns) About 10-12 cakes
Optional Topping
  • 1/4 cup Chocolate chips For sprinkling

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Electric mixer

Method

  1. Prepare the snack cakes. If using Zebra Cakes or similar, remove any outer frosting layer if desired, then chop the cakes into small, bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the softened cream cheese, softened butter, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Gradually add the powdered sugar to the cream cheese mixture, beating well after each addition until fully combined and smooth.
  4. Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping using a spatula until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Fold in the chopped Little Debbie cake pieces. Mix just enough to distribute the cake pieces throughout the dip.
  6. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. If you are using optional toppings, sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top.
  7. Serve the dip immediately with graham crackers, vanilla wafers, or fruit for dipping.

Notes

You can substitute different types of Little Debbie cakes for variety. For example, use Oatmeal Creme Pies for a different flavor profile. Keep the dip refrigerated until ready to serve.
