  • 1 cup Milk Dairy or non-dairy
  • 1 tablespoon Chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Maple syrup Optional, for sweetness

  • 1 tablespoon Pumpkin seeds For 'eyes'
  • 2 pieces Blackberries For 'pupils'
  • 1 tablespoon Shredded coconut Optional, for 'ghosts'

Method
 

  1. Combine rolled oats, milk, chia seeds, and maple syrup (if using) in a jar or container. Stir well to combine.
  2. Seal the container and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or preferably overnight.
  3. In the morning, stir the oats. If they are too thick, add a splash more milk.
  4. Decorate your overnight oats with spooky toppings. Use pumpkin seeds for eyes, blackberries for pupils, and shredded coconut or chocolate chips for extra details.
