Pumpkin-Shaped Sliders

Make fun pumpkin-shaped sliders for a festive meal.
Prep Time 20 minutes
Cook Time 15 minutes
Total Time 35 minutes
Servings: 12 sliders
Course: Appetizer, Snack
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

For the Sliders
  • 12 slider buns
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 12 slices cheddar cheese
For Decoration
  • 1 green bell pepper cut into small pieces for stems
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing for "glue"

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Small bowl
  • Knife

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Divide the beef mixture into 12 equal portions and shape them into small patties, slightly larger than your slider buns.
  4. Place the patties on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until cooked through.
  5. While the patties are baking, slice the slider buns in half horizontally.
  6. Once the patties are cooked, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty. Return to the oven for 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  7. Assemble the sliders: spread a little ranch dressing on the bottom half of each bun. Place a cheesy beef patty on top.
  8. Cut small pieces of green bell pepper and insert them into the top of the patties to resemble pumpkin stems. Place the top half of the bun over the stem.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

You can use a round cookie cutter to help shape the patties if desired. For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the beef mixture.
