Course: Breakfast
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

For the Spider Toast
  • 1 slice bread toasted
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese softened
  • 4 raisins for eyes
  • 8 pretzel sticks broken in half for legs
For the Fruit Bats
  • 1 banana peeled
  • 2 mini chocolate chips for eyes

Method

  1. For the spider toast: Spread cream cheese evenly over the toasted bread.
  2. Arrange the pretzel stick halves around the edges of the toast to create spider legs (four on each side).
  3. Place two raisins on the top half of the toast for the spider's eyes.
  4. For the fruit bats: Cut the banana in half crosswise. Then, cut each half in half lengthwise, creating four wedges.
  5. Place two mini chocolate chips on the cut edge of each banana wedge to resemble eyes.
  6. Serve immediately.

Notes

This recipe is best made right before serving to prevent the toast from getting soggy and the bananas from browning.
