Ingredients

For the Crepes
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
For the Spiderweb
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips melted
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Equipment

  • Whisk
  • Bowl
  • Ladle
  • Non-stick skillet
  • Spatula
  • Squeeze bottle

Method

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and milk. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, whisking until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter.
  4. Heat a lightly oiled non-stick skillet over medium heat. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter into the skillet and swirl to coat the bottom evenly.
  5. Cook for about 2 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Flip and cook for another minute.
  6. Transfer the crepe to a plate. Repeat with the remaining batter.
  7. In a small bowl, combine the melted chocolate chips and vegetable oil. Place the mixture in a squeeze bottle.
  8. On each crepe, draw a spiral starting from the center and working your way out.
  9. Using a toothpick, drag lines from the center to the edge of the crepe to create the spiderweb effect.
  10. Fill with your favorite fillings and serve.

Notes

You can use any type of chocolate for the spiderweb, such as dark chocolate, milk chocolate, or white chocolate.
