Spiderweb Taco Dip

A quick and easy taco dip shaped like a spiderweb.

Ingredients
  

For the Dip
  • 1 package cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 can refried beans 16 ounce
For the Spiderweb
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
Optional Toppings
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro

Equipment

  • Medium bowl
  • Serving dish
  • Small bowl
  • Piping bag or plastic bag
  • Toothpick or skewer

Method
 

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, 1 cup of sour cream, and 1 packet of taco seasoning until well combined.
  2. Spread the refried beans evenly over the bottom of a serving dish.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the refried beans.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the 1/4 cup of sour cream and 1 tablespoon of taco seasoning for the spiderweb. Place this mixture into a piping bag or a plastic bag with a corner snipped off.
  5. Pipe concentric circles of the sour cream mixture onto the dip, starting from the center and working your way out.
  6. Use a toothpick or skewer to drag lines from the center outwards through the circles to create the spiderweb effect.
  7. Add optional toppings like shredded cheese, olives, and cilantro.
  8. Serve immediately with your favorite tortilla chips or crackers.

Notes

This dip is best served immediately after preparation.
