Ingredients
  

For the Puppy Chow
  • 9 cups Chex cereal any flavor
  • 1 cup White chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup Peanut butter creamy
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
For the Strawberry Shortcake Flavor
  • 1/2 cup Freeze-dried strawberries crushed
  • 1/4 cup Strawberry cake mix dry
  • 1/4 cup Shortbread cookies crushed

  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons

Method
 

  1. Place the Chex cereal in a large bowl.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and melted.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the melted mixture over the cereal and gently stir until evenly coated.
  5. In a separate bowl or a large zip-top bag, combine the powdered sugar, crushed freeze-dried strawberries, dry strawberry cake mix, and crushed shortbread cookies.
  6. Add the coated cereal to the sugar mixture. Toss gently until the cereal is well coated with the strawberry shortcake mixture.
  7. Spread the puppy chow in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to set.
  8. Allow to cool and harden completely before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
