- Heat the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the sliced Tennessee onions to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook, stirring occasionally, for 25-30 minutes, or until the onions are deeply caramelized and tender.

Notes
You can add a splash of balsamic vinegar in the last few minutes of cooking for extra flavor.
