- In a bowl, combine the ground beef, soy sauce, fish sauce, sesame oil, sugar, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef mixture and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the chopped fresh basil and cilantro during the last minute of cooking.
- Serve the Thai basil beef mixture over cooked rice. Garnish with lime wedges.
Notes
You can adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your spice preference. This dish is also delicious served in lettuce cups.
